MCE boasts its own in-house, railway industry experienced design and development team which is critical in understanding the needs of todays modern railway.
MCE were runners up in the 2005 National Rail Awards in the “Innovation Of The Year” category for our MCE LED Eros indicators, designed to reduce the substantial costs involved in the management of the existing units, in 2009 MCE were short listed again in the “Sir Robert Horton Safety Award” at the National Rail Awards for their innovative “Limpet” NOT TO BE MOVED” System. Together with Southern MCE have worked closely to produce a safer method of working for depot protection. The “Limpet” system was also runner up at the Rail Engineer Infrarail Awards at the Infrarail Exhibition 2010.
With environmental issues in the forefront of todays thinking MCE have developed a range of Solar Powered lamps that use free energy, thus eliminating the need for disposable batteries, reducing waste and disposal costs. Modern technology dictates that new the new range of Solar Panels only require normal daylight, not bright sunlight, to operate, therefore they are an ideal replacement for standard battery operated lamps.
MCE’s range of products includes a wide range of trackside and depot safety equipment; from Not To Be moved signs and lamps to possession equipment and signal reminder appliances for signal boxes.
